So, this jackass abused a poor cat and decided to be even more of a jackass and post it on youtube. In reading the post, it appears the police have been contacted, and are at the house. Many local news channels have also been notified.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the video, the outrage it brought about on digg was enough for me to know it was bad.

There is a picture posted of the jerk wearing a mask, with a rebel flag showing in the background. This type of person ends up shooting up schools. Some serious intervention is needed with this punk.

It is good that the internet community could get involved and report this to police.

6. I watched it.....

I used to work in a Vet clinic, so I've seen the depths of depravity (unfortunately).

The abuse appeared to be largely along the lines of professional wrestling- trying to make it look worse than it actually was. I think the cat in question made it out of the situation with no actual physical injuries (mad as all hell, or maybe scared... but physically unharmed).

That said... Yeah, the cat needs a new home, and the abusers (who sounded like kids in their teens) need some serious help. The cat seemed pretty gentle- I didn't see it once try to defend him/herself (and I was hoping to see the kid get his finger bitten off!).

He had to stop, because he said every day, a part of his soul just died. Now he works with the opposite: dogs whose owners can afford to take them to doggy day care and nice boarding digs. He's a much happier camper.

He said he couldn't bear to look at the end result of human cruelty and irresponsibility in the face any more as he put animals to sleep. It haunted him.
Once I get my PhD and we figure out where we'll be living for a significant amount of time, we'd like to buy a large chunk of land and open a no-kill rescue agency. He'd be the best person to do it. He has the know how to care for large groups of animals (he used to work at a large petting zoo and will be getting a vet tech license as soon as I'm done traveling).

34. They Are Not Normal Teenagers!

They are psychopaths and will become an ever increasing danger to society. These are the people who turn into serial killers and spouse abusers. I had a friend like this when I was growing up. He had a mean nasty cruel streak with animals or anyone he perceived as weaker than him. When I realized how sick he was I stopped hanging around with him. Of course he was shielded from his behavior by his father, a prominent attorney who managed to buy his way out of things like raping a girl at the age of 16. He regularly beat up his parents when he was in high school, kicking his father in the testicles so hard he had to have them removed. Strangely enough his parents continued to shield him until they died. After their death he duct taped a girl to a kitchen chair and sodomized her with a corn cob, then beat her to a pulp. End result is he blew a massive inheritance on his legal defense and is now in his fifties, delivering pizza on bicycle since he can't afford a car and is totally drugged out. I still read every now an then in the paper that he has been arrested for abusing some poor woman. He seems to be a regular in the jails and the rest of his family have totally given up on him. I used to think he would have turned out better if his parents hadn't protected him but now I realize his sickness is to the core and the best thing we could do is to lock him away forever and protect society. I'm not even sure it is his fault or if it can be changed but society needs to be protected. Which brings me to the point of these teenagers in the video, they are sick and society needs to be protected. They need to be institutionalized for the duration.

Kenny Glenn may soon find himself in jail:

An animal abuse story that has sparked outrage across the country has Comanche County Sheriff Kenny Stradley saying that two local boys are responsible. The teen was filmed beating and torturing a cat, and uploaded it to YouTube over the weekend. It was viewed about 30,000 times.

7News telephones rang of the hook, and Reporter Robert Richardson took a number of the calls. Viewers read that the abuse happened in Lawton, and YouTube deleted the video, along with the user's account on Sunday. Edited portions - featuring ‘Timmy' lead his camera operating friend inside a shower where a cat lay waiting for its fate.
