Lawmaker admits he was not Green Beret

MADISON, Wis. — After describing himself as a Green Beret for nearly two decades, state Rep. Terry Musser said he did not qualify for the U.S. Army Special Forces and apologized for misrepresenting his military service.
“It has never been my intent to mislead anyone about my military service,” said Musser, R-Black River Falls. “I apologize if anyone felt I misled them in any way.”

8. Same with the Head of the American Legion
A conservative bush supporting lunatic says on his bio that he is a Vietnam Vet. He served his time in the Army at Fort Dix New Jersey. Another brave motherfucker.

And dipshit musser is only sorry if you were misled. Per his statement he ain't sorry he lied.

32. Funny how some "Viet Nam Era Veterans" often seem to forget to say "Era," huh?

It's been my experience that they're the most likely to wear bizarre 'uniforms' and make loud noises.

41. Not only that but he specifically made a statement about when "we" "came home":
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2006/12/03/legion_chief_alters_line_on_war_service/

And three months ago, Morin said he hopes that servicemen returning from Iraq will be treated better than those who returned from Vietnam. "When we came home, life was a little different. We do not want to see any veteran ever returning to what we did, so we'll be there to be welcoming them home with open arms," Morin said, according to a transcript of his interview with the Pentagon Channel , the Defense Department's television network.

But the only place Morin ever returned from was Fort Dix, N.J. According to his military records, Morin spent his entire two years of Army service, from 1972 to 1974, at that Army training base . In fact, before he sought the coveted one-year term as national president of the country's largest veterans' organization, Morin was content to be known as a "Vietnam-era" veteran -- a signal to other veterans that he did not serve in Vietnam.

10. I hate this kind of weasel-esque apology!
“It has never been my intent to mislead anyone about my military service,” said Musser, R-Black River Falls. “I apologize if anyone felt I misled them in any way.”

When he lied about his military service, it was not his "intent to mislead"? What the hell was your intent, shitface? Just lying, because you thought it would be cute?

He is sorry for lying, only if anyone "felt" he had "misled them in any way." How do people usually feel when they have been lied to for over twenty years? Do you think that they might feel, oh, I don't know, MISLED? Jesus, you shitbag, canker-sore of a pustule...

If he didn't intend to mislead anyone, then why did he tell the lie--and continue to tell it for two decades?

Hand him a helmet and ship him to street patrols in Iraq. He's got what? 20 years of claims to pay back?
