Or headlines stipulating that Iran is clearly building Nuke weaponry. Did I miss something? Never once has it been proven that they are seeking nuclear technology for anything other than legal reasons. I have no doubt I will catch hell and will be told that I am quite naive. And even if he had ambitions they are soooo far off having the capabilities IMO.

1. It's to scare the public...
...by redirecting the story away from the Gonzales scandal.

4. Scott Ritter set the record state in a speech I saw in ...
Concord, NH a few weeks ago. They are nowhere near being able to make a nuclear weapon, and will be lucky to be producing commercial amounts of electricty in a year or so. They need several thousand centrifuges to make weapons grade uranium, they only have several hundred.

I'd suggest searching for transcripts of his talks (or his talks themselves) at http://www.antiwar.com

Iran is not a threat to the US. This is all about the regime change the PNACers want.

5. I agree it hasn't been proven.
It's a POSSIBILITY, without a doubt, but US intelligence has been proven to be flawed at best and manipulated at worst within the past few years, so one naturally has to have a skeptical eye here.
