Is DU evolving into a kinder, more caring DU?

Now that Prop 8 and Bush are slowly sliding to back burners (even though the jobs aren't finished yet and need resolution), kittens are now playing with puppies and people on both sides of the 2nd amendment have "laid down their arms," do I see some DUers actually not looking for fights?

Maybe it's just the candy hearts or something, maybe it's the fact that Obama's in office that has allowed many of us to let the chip fall from our shoulder.

Whatever it is, I sure am enjoying the GD a lot more than usual lately and I only have all of you here to thank for that. So, if you read this, reach over and pat yourself on the back for doing a good thing for a stranger.
