2. Hmmm... I guess I should have taken my own advice

and posted more description, but in my own mind I *did*--I think I'm guilty of forgetting that everyone is not my age, and so thinking that "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy" was a complete description. The cartoon is, to my mind, an exact, if depressing, description of how W got us in the mess we're in.

But every time I read the papers
That old feeling comes on;
We're -- waist deep in the Big Muddy
And the big fool says to push on.
