6. Brezinski made the point about the massive amount of income redistribution over the last 16 years

$300 Billion to "a few individuals" and called for the "rich class" to contribute in on the current problem as apparently JP Morgan did (locked the super wealthy in a room until 4AM) during the banking crisis in 1907-there was no Fed at the time

He also said that we need to redefine and pin point what our actual goal in Afghanistan. Bush said that the goal was "A democratic developed Afghanistan" while the Soviets said their goal was "a socialist advanced Afghanistan" neither one is attainable. The goal needs to be to make sure that Afghanistan and Pakistan are NOT the launch point for terrorism. He pointed out the difference between the Taliban and alQaeda-as bad as the Taliban is it will be difficult to go in and tell them how to run their social structure.

4. This was actually one of the most amazing discussions I've heard on Morning Joe

I haven't been watching lately, because they have been so nasty and inane. Zbigniew was astonishing, pointing out the redistribution of wealth of the past 16 years (upwards) and calling for the super-rich to voluntarily contribute to a fund to help the economy.

I don't think it should be voluntary, but I was astonished at the whole conversation.
