Imagine if John McCain had been elected President ?
Where would we be today? What would we be talking about? Would he have asked for a bailout for the banks? Would the Republicans have supported the bailout? Would most of the Democrats have opposed it because it would have had mostly taxcuts in it? Where would the stock market be today?

With all the criticism of Obama's policies by the Republicans, I think most Americans would think we would be much worse off even today if John McCain had been elected? We would be sick with the talk of "bi-partisanship" from McCain and Lindsey Graham. There would be revolt in the streets.

1. I'm not convinced the maverick wouldn't have a bail out package
of his own - his opposition now is just because he lost. Even McFail and Phailin seemed to admit during the campaign that the government had to do something.

3. Of course he would.
It's easy to cause trouble when you're not responsible.

4. He would--he'd have to do something, or be considered a failure.
He's just taking advantage of being back in the peanut gallery now, lobbing insults and criticisms and offering no ideas.

7. They'd have one, but it would be all regressive tax cuts.
There would be no money for new infrastructure.

15. That was my biggest fear of a McCain/Palin presidency.
And I don't think he would have stopped with just bombs. I think if he were in office, the US would have dropped a nuke sometime in his term And that whack job Palin - omg! I can't even imagine what she would do - I can't even imagine.

Republican & military men on John McCain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdJUCU1UH2w

At the end of this video, Pat Buchanan states, McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."

6. There is no doubt that President Obama was the correct choice for President....
I like many am concerned about some of his moves of late, but I am sure in the long run he will come through. My only wish is that he would keep the people informed of why he is making some of these moves... ie: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x3742673
