1. I believe he would still have to comply with a subpoena, but

if he resigns, he would lose any protection he may have as a gov't officer.

2. I don't think he is going to be around

to testify one way or the other. He has 'dirt' on him and smells and I think he knows waaaaayyyy tooooooo much and could therefore be considered dangerous by some of the lesser people in the world...(you know, close friends of the bush clan) Just my humble opinion, that's all.

I don't know if he can be forced to testify before Congress if he ain't an exec anymore, but I guess that didn't stop McCarthy from getting actors from Hollywood and other citizens....so, I'll just let the legal minds from DU answer.....
