OK, who won the "Provocative Naval Incident with Iran" pool ?

I think my guess was actually sooner than this, so it wasn't me. Something was almost certain to happen, though, after we squeezed the third carrier fleet into an already crowded theater. You can't even turn around without knocking over an Iranian patrol boat or three, apparently.

So, did anybody guess Friday for the "Trumped up Casus Belli in the Persian Gulf " occurrence? I had all my money in the "Incriminating Document Dump from the White House" pool for Friday. Won Pretty big, too!!

I opined about a naval setup, but the waters are in dispute and have been far longer than GW I or II so this might be legit. How do you handle extralegal affairs for another country and fight a civil war? Answer, you don't. Things get worse, conditions spiral out of control, no one gets electricity or running water. Buildings are destroyed and repaired and destroyed, ships continue to collect in a tactical location and the inevitable happens. Someone enters a disputed area and the conflict become regional.

For what it is worth, I lost 10 bucks on it happening in March of last year. I guess the Russians got an inside man. :sarcasm:
