This deals with the range problem that both the air car and battery electrics have, but the top speed is still too low for freeway driving.

1. highway speed looks doable for short trips

90 kph is about 55 mph (basic model) and 110 kph is about 68 mph (standard model).

and they are pretty cheap at 3500 and 5300 euro

since no Aircar has ever been distributed to the public, and this "OneCAT" model hasn't even been made as a prototype. How they have the nerve to quote a price for an imaginary car, I can't tell.

if they were available. It's 23 miles one way to work and I can drive city streets as opposed to highway if needed, but since my shifts are usually well before rush hour (start at 5am) traffic isn't a problem on the highway.
