Has anyone heard even one nooz story that said anything positive about Obama?

Everybody's a critic ....... everybody knows what's wrong with everything ..... everybody has some vague notion of what's needed.

And apparently none of what Obama is doing, planning, or saying, is good enough to satisfy them.

Oh ...... and all the problems? They're the fault of home buyers and poor people. All these 'experts' are decrying our social safety nets. Too expensive, they all say.

President Obama has proven he is a better man then many of us. He will overcome and prosper even in the withering attack from the right wing media. (and us)

I watched one segment where a panel of experts agreed he's a pretty good basketball player. That's about it. x(

3. MSNBC was questioning the Stimulus bill yesterday,saying

it would take too long to have a good effect.
Our local news this AM ran a short piece about a bridge project that was begun ONLY MINUTES AFTER Obama signed the bill, but I have not seen anything about this anywhere else.

Of course, CNN and Fox hate everything he does.

5. They are making their bucks on the "drama"

they have to keep the mud churning to keep people scared and tuned in. It will be this way for the whole 8 years.

6. Time to tune out the cable chatter, and the negative nay-bobs around here too.

I tune in to see the actual coverage of the events of our President's day--then I tune out the "comments". This is the only way to stay sane.

Barack's sister, Maya, stated in the past that he is part Kenyan--- and Kenyans always win the marathon. This is going to be a long hard slog, and we need to stick with him, as this quite possibly is America's last chance to get it even remotely right. Did anyone think that standing up to the rich and powerful would be easy? The Corporate Media IS out to get him---be under no illusion.

I truly believe he will NEVER stop trying to do what is right for all of us. He is human and will make mistakes, but they will be out of at least TRYING to find solutions to the nightmare we have inherited from the Bushies. And no, I am not always going to agree with his decisions, but I know his heart will have been in the right place while he was making them.

I am very disappointed in some here at DU, but not surprised. While joining with anti-Iraq War protesters before the war began, and knowing them thru the years, I discovered that there are some(not all) people who just have the need to protest something, anything and everything. They will never be happy with anything less than perfection in the glow of their own set of beliefs. To me, that is what I see in several posters here.

8. There was a good story on NPR Morning Edition today...

Interviewing a couple of republicans from Colorado about how they think the stimulus bill is shaking out. One of the guys voted for Obama, the other for McCain. Both expressed a sense of satisfaction with what the President is doing to goose the economy. It's been my observation here in Austin that a great many relatively conservative people want to see Obama succeed, if for no other reason that the economy is so badly fucked (technical term).

Clarence Page has been a Obama cheerleader since the get-go. Page is from Chicago, so that makes sense.
