Yes, I'm glad that when Katie Couric's husband died after his
battle with colon cancer, she wasn't badgered by an interviewer insisting that she exploited his death to boost her own PR and that of the Today show. That wouldn't have been appropriate at all.
Perhaps her move to CBS shortened her memory.

Oprah, looking soulfully into Katie's eyes, asking, "Katie . . . how are you REALLY doing? Are you okay? How are the kids? Here's some Kleenex right here if you need it. America is here for you if you need us."
