Except he's a smarmy opportunist who will do anything to promote himself to the detriment of our country and not a highly skilled athlete who rose to the occasion time and time again. But still kind of close... or not. :)

3. You have to give him some credit

He sees a vacuum and he's trying to fill it. Granted, he sucks at policy and wouldn't know how to govern to save his life, but he's taking his shot at becoming the GOP's leader. He at least knows enough to figure out that people like McConnell and Boehner are done, and that he could possibly put together a new GOP comeback, if and when it happens. But this isn't 1994, and he's getting advice from a dinosaur like Gingrich. These guys haven't figured out the demographics, they know they exist but they have no way of bringing in women and minorities. They're solid with white males in the South, but that's about it.

That is if he's only looking to stay in Congress....which is questionable seeing how big his ego is getting.
