Tallahassee, Florida -- One state lawmaker is trying pass legislation that would make having sex with animals illegal.

State Senator Nan Rich filed the bill, which passed the Senate's Criminal Justice Committee Wednesday morning.

The proposal bans any human sexual contact with animals. Violators would face third degree felony charges.

If adopted as law, it would not encompass certain husbandry or veterinary practices.

The bill must gain Legislature approval and a signature from Governor Charlie Crist before it can become law.

Colmes said he thought there were a lot of people in the audience who grew up on farms, are living on farms now, raising kids on farms and "and I don't think they are dating Elsie right now. You know what I'm saying?"

Horsley said, "You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually. You're naive. You know better than that... If it's warm and it's damp and it vibrates you might in fact have sex with it."

of when London Zoo was reduced to only one gorilla - a female. Someone suggest that a very large Irish fella be asked to take on the job of producing some offspring. When put to him he asked if there was money involved and when they said yes he agreed subject to 3 conditions being met.
