I've seen him as a guest a few times.

2. He seems to be LIVING in D.C. these days ...
which I guess I would do too in February if my home
base were in Fargo ...

I liked watching Ed Schultz when his radio show was
broadcast on C-Span some months ago ... but I don't
think he'd be as good if he were just in a studio,
not taking calls. We already have Keith and Rachel,
so I don't mind them considering someone a bit more
centrist, but part of Schultz's appeal is the way he
relates to callers -- I don't know how well he'd do
just sitting behind a desk with guests.

3. My opposition to this (if true)
is not where on the political spectrum Schultz falls, but his inability to understand issues and defend a position. IOW he's weak, and we don't need weak. How about Ron Reagan? Cripes, there are so many thoughtful, intelligent progressives, why Ed?

I'm not trying to slam Ed, he has improved over the last year or so. I just don't think that he would represent the Democratic voice very well. And if they hire him, because of his work on AAR, he would always be referred to as a spokesman for the left. Argh.
