Obama Against Fairness Doctrine
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/02/18/white-house-opposes-fairness-doctrine/

Just when I think FoxNews readers can't be any more stupid, now they think the fairness doctrine, which Obama opposes which means they can continue their unfettered hate of our democratically elected president, means socialism.

P.S. why is Obama cowtowing to these bastards? I'm not encouraged.

1. Unfortunately I think a Fairness Doctrine would be about as effective in helping us retain our
majority as the Assault Weapons Ban was.

I'd like to see the fairness doctrine happen (but def. not the AWB) but neither will.

2. A better plan would be to redistribute the broadcast licenses
To diversify ownership.

That would be a real fairness doctrine.

3. I agree with President Obama.
We used to have 3 networks. Now there are multiple media outlets. All views can get their time on the air.

4. Maybe he is one of those First Amendment fans.
Or maybe he figures making Rush Limpballs a martyr isn't in his best interest.

(Actually Rush would be covered any more than John Stewart cause he is supposedly entertainment.)
