GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AP) — A man has shot and killed himself inside televangelist Robert H. Schuller's Crystal Cathedral in Southern California.

Senior Pastor Juan Carlos Ortiz says a long-haired man walked into the Garden Grove building, handed a note and his driver's license to two ushers, walked to the cross and then shot himself in the head as he appeared to be praying.

He says the man seemed disturbed and that the ushers called 911 before the shooting.

Seven or eight tourists were inside the cathedral and witnessed the shooting.

I've thought right from the get go that Obama did have to "play ball" a bit with some of these corporate and military interests in order to even have a normal life span.

Let's just say that history is replete with examples of people who try to go too far against the grain not living to an old age.

I'm not accusing Obama of anything. I'm just saying that when people want all this radical change to happen in the first month of his administration I've always thought to myself "Yeah, like they'd even let him live if he tried".

He was a man who was greatly flawed, but he was so insightful it was scary. Even 40 years later, he's the most cutting edge author I've ever read.

I lived through the Martin Luther King era. The civil rights groups were always separate from the anti Viet Nam people and Labor was even more separated from those two. What MLK was just on the verge of doing was joining forces. He was beginning to speak out on foreign policy. If that were to happen, students, minorities and labor united... It was at that point MLK was killed.
