Question regarding MONICA(gate) taking the 5th

Would she still have to appear in order to take the 5th? or could it be done through her lawyer in a letter form saying she takes the 5th?

They ought to ask all of the tough questions and make her answer each one with her little ditty. "I respectfully decline to answer this question on the grounds that it might incriminate me."

Make her go through that, simply so the American people can see what the transgressions are.

...she has to appear and to each question make the statement in regard to invoking her 5th Amendment rights. IIRC, one cannot make a blanket invocation...but I could be wrong on this.

This investigationn is about whether the USAs were fired improperly, so unless Gooding was the actual person who fired them, and EVEN then, Fredo is still responsible for signing off on it, what is she worried about, legally?

prepare a statement saying that she will decline to answer all questions other than the name, rank, serial number variety. this is to spare her the embarrassment of having to plead to every question

sounds like Rove told her to take the 5th on every question.. and she is reveling that

that sounds like Predated Obstruction of Justice

they will give her immunity.. and she will have to testify or go to the 'Pokey'.. so to speak
