Republican Senators in CA need to know that if they ever want to run statewide

they will face fierce opposition from Californians from all over the state if that legislator allows this compromise budget to fail and the state to suffer more.

they need to know that we will start recalls on them, that we will support primary challenges in their districts (since these are heavily Republican districts) and if they try to run for statewide office, we will actively support their primary opponents IN THEIR OWN PARTY.

that is the way to get their attention.

term limits will keep their CA Senate careers fairly short, they will want a job elsewhere, probably statewide at some point, Abel Maldonado does. if they don't support this budget, they will have thrown down the gauntlet and i don't have to live in their district to make them feel it.
