W Hotels

I don't know, but it seems like bad timing on their part...

Even on DU!

But no, you're not a bad richie, you're a GOOD richie, right? Your people weren't on the Mayflower (boo hiss) your people were at Woodstock instead! (Yay!)

And you never wear suits-and-ties to work (where you make a comfortable six figures a year.) Or if you have to, you never wear rep ties, right? And your dress shoes are those wierd-ass 90s-style dress shoes with a flat front ('cuz thats so hip and lefty, donchaknow.) Yeah, wear the flat front dress shoes, and they can be Prada-issue $1,000 a pair, but they make you a GOOD guy, right? When the Revolution comes, we won't put you up against the wall...

because you're so hip!

8. Yeah, because nothing says "cheesy trend-follower" like a Willie Nelson Avatar.
:eyes:

Why don't you just make a list of all the things and people you hate so much, huh? Make it easy for the rest of us in the wake of the next inevitable, disjointed tirade?

Let's see. We've already got people who watch "Lost", adults who play video games... Now there's this weird thing with the shoes... You're really on a rampage this month, aren't you?

Want someone to hate? Start with the individual who apparently micutrated in your bowl of breakfast cereal.

There's an obvious explanation -- W? Dubya?

And or, just as valid, there a certain "trickle-up" schadenfreude going on here (which I share.) Yes, it's true, that bad times hurt the poorer more, in general. But there is a certain consolation, that we can feel a certain satisfaction that a large contingent of latte-"liberals" can no longer afford to shop at Whole Paycheck, or stay at W-style, $500-a-night-for-the-privilege-of-overdesigned-accomodations-with-avant-garde-prison-style-showers hotels anymore (when they swan around the country doing ever-so important, amorphous business-type stuff (carrying a Mac laptop the whole time, natch...))

Yes, there is a certain consolation in all this -

Let them STOP eating cake!

12. There's an obvious explanation -- W? Dubya? It's neither obvious or an explanation.
Starwood hotels and bush don't have anything to do with each other. The letter in the name of the hotels is a letter in his name. How does that make it bad timing for some weekend offering they are making?

9. I thought maybe the OPs point had something to do with Dubya..
but it's time we reclaim that letter, anyway.
