Republican Senator Sam Brownback:

If you had no problem with spending billions and even trillions of dollars on the illegal, immoral wars in Iraq and Afghanistan while cutting taxes for the wealthy, then it is the height of hypocrisy to be against something that would help out the working men and women of this country who have already sacrificed by blood and money. Tax cuts for the wealthy were the hallmark of the Bush years, and that's exactly what got us into this mess. The Great Depression not only lasted but got worse until President Franklin Roosevelt was able to pass government spending programs that put people to work.

Please do not attempt to justify voting against what your constituents need.


I lived in Kansas until this past July, and I don't recall getting emails from him before, but I could not let it go without a response.
