Poll question: Should the Skull & Bones cult & the bush family return Geronimo's remains?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090218/ap_on_re_us/geronimo_s_bones

HARTFORD, Conn. – Geronimo's descendants have sued Skull and Bones — the secret society at Yale University linked to presidents and other powerful figures — claiming that its members stole the remains of the legendary Apache leader decades ago and have kept them ever since.

The federal lawsuit filed in Washington on Tuesday — the 100th anniversary of Geronimo's death — also names the university and the federal government.

According to lore, members of Skull and Bones — including former President George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush — dug up his grave when a group of Army volunteers from Yale were stationed at the fort during World War I, taking his skull and some of his bones.

Harlyn Geronimo, 61, wants those remains and any held by the federal government turned over to the family so they can be reburied near the Indian leader's birthplace in southern New Mexico's Gila Wilderness.

1. Don't they first have to prove that S&B actually HAS Geronimo's skull
before they start demanding its return?

Does anyone (still alive) really know that the skull used in S&B's "ritual" is actually that of Geronimo and not just part of S&B mythology?

I think DNA tests are in order.

2. Good question
It has to be proven, that is true, but the bush's will never give it up, they are too powerful and too insane.

14. Why don't we simply ask John Kerry?
I'm sure he would be more than willing to help right this monstrosity and being that he has inside knowledge of this honorable little fraternity, it shouldn't present a problem.

4. I seriously doubt they have Geronimo's remains.
Just a frat boy story that started as something to impress new members and became folklore.

I'd bet money any skull they have was swiped from a medical college. It's much easier to swipe a skull and call it Geronimo than to actually go through the work of digging him up.

13. Well, Prescott Bush did finance Hitler and the Nazis
that's a matter of factual public record.

So, like his Spawn xCommander AWOL Bush, Prescott has secured his place in the Republicon Hall of anti-American Fame.

12. If they have the remains, this isn't even a question
However, I think there needs to be a better foundation for the case than frat-boy legends - perhaps the grave needs to be opened first to ensure the items are truly missing.

I don't find it hard to believe that they could have been stolen; I really doubt that Indian graves were particularly well protected and respected at that time, especially when the Indians in question were buried far from home...
