Gas saver? Pot makes gas gauge read half full

Not sure if this has been posted already...but it struck me as funny, so I thought I would share it.

SANDY, Utah (AP) — A stash of grass can take the place of a lot of gas, but it won't do anything for mileage.

A Utah man took his newly acquired used SUV to a mechanic to find out why the gas gauge always read half-full.

The mechanic in Sandy looked inside the gas tank and found about 35 pounds of marijuana in plastic-wrap packages that filled about half of the tank's volume.

Police estimate the pot is worth about $35,000.

The Nissan Armada has had several different owners and was once a rental car.

Sandy police are trying to figure out who stashed the pot but say the current owner is not a suspect.

Investigators in the town south of Salt Lake City say the drug packs could have been in the tank for months.

Someone thinks the gas tank is a great place to transport pot.

1. They may have put it in there and not known how to get it out. LOL

2. What if they had gotten it out?, Gasoline could have seeped through the plastic wrap, if not dissolve it. If they would have used or sold gasoline laden pot. It might have burned really well BOOM in your face. Not so funny.

3. One would think that if it has been soaked in gas,

that it is ruined and not worth anything. I wouldn't smoke it after being soaked in gasoline. Would you?

4. I bought a used VW van a few years back and

found not only three pounds of pot but 5 pounds of mushrooms, three ounces of cocaine, 7 grams of heroin and some blue pills, all stashed in the frame rails between some welded in panels.
The van paid for itself and then some...
I miss that van.
