I remembered being so stupid as to think Americans would come out enmasse after the USSC stopped the counting of the votes on 12/03/2000. Okay, so they didn't, but I was convinced that Americans would come out enmass to protest that decision in May 2001. Wrong again. And 8 years later, the Americans I believed in didn't wake up until 2006, and then, just a little over half of them did. Yes, we are a nation of cowards, but we are also a nation that has bred some of the most courageous and outstanding persons to ever walk the planet. MLK, anyone?
