Things that still concern me.
This seems like old news but it was not all that long ago.

We heard about the battle ships in the gulf , are they still there , no one talks about them anymore and this was a huge issue each year with all the building up to attack Iran.

What's going on in Texas after the hurrican?

what I do see are what I consider nothing stories about octo-mom or a bong photo. Or the latest on Coulter or Rush as if this means anything other than to give them recognition.

There seems to be no end of the none stories that seem to flood the news because they seem to gain the most interest.

There are all of those vulture reporters out there interviewing people in a state of shock for shock value alone and this is horrific.

For example the Lady with the chimp who now must be filled with regret and guilt and grief.

1. From what little I can garner...not much is going on in Galveston.
I live about three hundred miles from Galveston but I would think we should have regular updates from San Antonio news. If it has happened, I haven't seen it. I saw an article, months ago, in Texas Monthly, I believe it was.

3. I was searching for film of President Obama in Canada...
Edited on Thu Feb-19-09 07:11 PM by liberalmuse
and Google queued me into that 911 call right off the bat re: Travis the chimp. Okay, I'm ashamed, but I clicked after debating it for 1 minute and 30 seconds. I could only listen to 15 seconds. This is the most horrific story I've seen in a long time. Who doesn't fucking love chimpanzees? But to think one went nuts for no discernable reason, attacking a longtime family friend and basically ripping her face off. How many lives did this needless incident cost? The friend, who was frantic, and will never forgive herself? Or the woman who lost her eyes, nose and part of her jaw? Jesus Fucking Christ. It makes me sick. And to top this shit off, some racist fucking asshat thought it would be cute to feature this incident in his cartoon, only he decided the chimp would be President Obama. If I don't puke my guts out by the end of tonight, I'll consider myself lucky. This shit is more than a human being can handle.

4. Yes the entire story about the Chimp was horrifying
I can't get it out of my head. What really get me is why they had to play the 911 calls , wasn't just the story alone horrifying enough, all I had to do was hear what happened and ones imagination is enough but the news has to push the limit. At least there is no video on you tube and if there is there is no way I'm looking.

Now matter how many horror stories I hear or see I never get de-sensitized to any of it.
