Possible GOP candidates for President in 2012?

While this is speculation, I do have grounds to believe that one, two, or all three of these people will run in 2012.

Sarah Palin
Mitt Romney
Bobby Jindall

Any other possible candidates?

12. Timmy is ambitious.

And I believe that after Timmy got dumped by McCain for Mrs. Mooseburger (even though Timmy had his nose all the way up McCain's rectum for over a year), he'd like a rematch. But he's boring and bland and even though he's an anti-tax fanatic he's not quite fundie enough for The Base. I don't think he has much of a chance but I bet he'll try.

4. Depends if things go well for Obama

If his stimulus plan works and we're out of Iraq, it will be difficult to defeat him. This may cause some to sit out in 2012, such as Bobby Jindall. I think the main candidates will be Palin and Romney, with Huckabee maybe giving it a try too. Romney will win the nomination.

Isn't his Mormonism a handicap? I think Palin or Huckabee could easily draw out the religious right to stop him in his tracks.

so they might overlook his religion. I think a lot of Republicans were probably were a little disappointed that they didn't pick the "businessman" in 2008 since the economy collapse before the election. Plus, Palin and Huckabee might split the socially conservative voters if they both run.

Democratic strategists will be keeping the midnight oil ablaze planning a second Obama term, and I'm on board with that.

Palin thinks she's going to be the nominee. She isn't.

I'm sure the thought has crossed Huckabee's mind as well. I think he has a better shot at the nomination than Romney.

Romney wants it so bad he needs a bib.

Jindal is a long-shot, IMO.

A recent DU post revealed the presidential aspirations of Susan Collins.

I think a lot of the people who would have voted for Huckabee will now go to the "star" of the Republican Party, Palin. The fiscal conservatives will go to Romeny. So to me, I think it will be a battle between Palin and Romney. Huckabee is probably the best choice for the GOP though.

And he can whip Romney with the Bible, too, in a brazen appeal to fundie bias against Mormons.

Romney has the money, though.

I think the two of them will rip the flesh from each other's bones in Iowa. It should be exciting to watch.
