A cartoon the right finds offensive

I'm a big fan of Clay Bennett of the Chattanooga Times, and I often post his thoughtful 'toons here.
Today when I went to the site, I found this panel with several negative, freep-like comments:


Bennett left St. Petersburg Florida to draw exclusively for the Times in Tennessee. While he was given artistic autonomy, they've lately pushed his installment to a less prominent position on the web site.

If any DUers can, please go here and either post a complimentary comment, or just give my comment there a positive bump to show the editors not everyone who views his work is a knuckle dragging freeper:

I first came by this site yesterday (Saturday, Feb. 21) when I was able to track down both you and samplegirl from your nice comments on the Times Free Press site. After a bit of poking around the DU archives, I notice that you have posted my work consistently through the years. I want to thank you so much for the diligent show of support.

This post urging your friends to come to my defense was very thoughtful. The paper has moved my work on the web site a bit, but in my opinion, my cartoons now have a much more prominent spot. Having a thumbnail of the cartoon right on the web site's home page has really stimulated a lot more discussion and comments about the work.

Of course, all of the comments are no always flattering, but I'm used to that. In fact, I kind of like it. At least it's proof that folks are paying attention. All that being said, I'm very appreciative that you (and you DU comrades) come by the site to argue our side of the debate. Thanks to all of you. I hope you'll continue to visit the site to see what I'm up to.

A stroll through your archives informs me I've seen many of your toons and have always appreciated them with a howl and a chuckle!
