Everyone I know on the right - even people I consider good friends, politics aside - Has numerous areas of behavior that apparently "froze" in junior high. A severe lack of empathy and strong selfish impulses, an inability to deal with sexual thoughts or situations maturely, an "either or" two-sided view of reality...

I used to laugh at claims that political schools of thought were the result of genetics or psychology. Now, I'm not so sure. Right-wingers all seem to have the emotional facilities of thirteen year-olds. Every right-wing party we have - Constitution, Republican, Libertarian, and others - utterly revolves around some aspect of childish immaturity - "Where's Daddy," "My dad can kick your dad's ass!" and "No! Mine! Mine!" respectively.
