Has The Huffington Post jumped the shark?

Looking at today's Huffington Post, I find Arianna talking about the Academy Awards, Pamela Anderson T&A photos, and Ann Coulter puking out some garbage about Chris Matthews/Obama sex.

And yeah, there are some meaningful stories where the Post's coverage is a mile wide and an inch deep.

Arianna, I know that nothing can match the past election season for political content. But there are a hell of a lot of bloggers, columnists, etc., out there killing themselves to reveal BushCo crimes, and others trying to push Obama in a more progressive direction.

And as much as I hate to say it, I think you're on the verge of becoming a liberal mirror image of Rupert Murdoch's wingnutism.

Put more politely, The Huffington Post is well on it's way toward becoming a shallow tabloid. Please, please, stop the slide and print more substance.

8. The Drudge and The Huff Po operate on the same level

It takes two or three seconds to read both...They are predictable, ultimately pointless, and designed to entertain not inform.

The problem is that Drudge has been like this for years, and people suspect that it's popularity led to a GWB 8 term presidency, having a HuffPo around to counter that is ultimately worth it. You personally dont have to read it.
