A Kangaroo Skinner In A Kangaroo Court: Hick Pleads Guilty
This just makes me sick- and ashamed.

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,21453869-2,00.html

TERROR suspect David Hicks has pleaded guilty at a hearing at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

The Associated Press reported that Hicks, 31, entered a guilty plea to a charge of providing material support to terrorism.

Hicks's military attorney Major Michael Mori entered the plea on behalf of his client, who stood alongside with a sombre expression.

The guilty plea came about an hour after the judge, Colonel Ralph Kohlmann, ordered prosecutors, Hicks and his legal team to return to court after the day's 3-½-hour hearing had already wrapped up.

Defence lawyers disqualified

Earlier in the day Kohlmann disqualified two civilian lawyers on the defence team.

1. He pled guilty to get out of Gitmo and get back to Australia
So please, no one take this as anything but proof that conditions are so bad in our gulags that people plead guilty to international terror charges to escape them.

8. Someone from his camp today said the plea was so he could return to Australia to serve it
That is what my comment is based on.

3. Sad, I wonder how Australia will react
If you notice the timings of these show trials
they also have nothing to do with justice.

6. Truth, justice and the American way.
I would just like to say that Major Mori did a job
above and beyond.
Hicks will get to serve time in an Oz jail.
This won't be the end of it though.

7. Another stain on our colors
and I'm pretty tired of it. It's past time to roll back the MCA.
