TGIF, Truthseekers!

It's been a real rollercoaster of a week, with Hannity hawking a billionaire swindler, to Republican lawmakers ripping off Aerosmith to mock the stimulus plan, to a raving Rush Limbaugh comparing pro-stimulus-plan Democrats to elite liberal socalist rapists and murders who operate from lofty perches to establish their own rules so they don't pay taxes or obey greenhouse gas laws. That particular rant was just surreal.

Meanwhile, the corporate-owned mainstream media continues it's sole mission to avert our attention away from the stock market and imploding global economy and onto shinier, happier things . . . So anybody have an early favorite on American Idol? Top pick for Oscar on Sunday? And don't you know the only IMPORTANT news is whether or not A-Rod will be kicked out of baseball or Rihanna's battering boyfriend will serve time. And, oh my, isn't Jessica Simpson getting hippy these days?

My 1 1/2 year old grandkid's dad (my kid married a marine mechanic - they're going thru a divorce now - long story) is scheduled to go to Afghanistan in August. Why?
They deployed Marine ATTACK helicopters. Those would be the V-22 Osprey

The debate over the Osprey's deployment is the latest round in a fight that began when the program was conceived during the Reagan administration. Thanks to congressional supporters of the Marine Corps and the contracting team, the Osprey has survived several attempts to kill it, including repeated efforts from 1989-1992 by then-Defense Secretary Dick Cheney to eliminate it from his annual budgets because of its high cost.

So far, Congress has poured more than $20 billion into the program, but its checkered history has been punctuated by four crashes, including one in Arizona in April 2000 that killed 19 Marines. The Osprey crashed again eight months later in North Carolina, killing four Marines.

The baby girl was born at around 11:27 this morning, and instead of being with mom (who has a job) and his baby, he's wanting his computer fixed so that he can play games. Sorry, but :wtf: Mom already has a toddler, so :wtf: with both of them.

I've told everyone of my sons that 'birth control' isn't her responsibilty...if you don't want to be a dad before you're ready, use a condom and the condom will prevent diseases, too. Yeah, they can break, but at least try!:toast:
