I don't want any assistance from the stimulus bill
Edited on Fri Feb-20-09 09:20 PM by NNN0LHI
Not that I wouldn't like some help. I just know that there are families out there who need assistance a lot more than I do right now. I have needed to accept government assistance in the past to feed and keep a roof over the head of my family. I know how it feels.

The plan Obama has come up with wasn't designed to enrich me with some tax rebate check gimmick that I neither need or want right now and I would just put into the bank anyway. I wouldn't stimulate nothing with it. This plan is for people who are hurting right now. Hurting real bad. I want my government to help out these people all it can. There may come a day when I need assistance again but this isn't that day. Give it to someone who needs it right now. I don't even care if my taxes go up as long it is actually used for helping my fellow citizens instead of being used to blow people up in some bogus war somewhere.

Thats my feelings on this.

2. I am jobless and certainly qualify for fuel assistance during this WI winter.
I was talking with an uber Republican friend about this and he said that I should apply since I am eligible. I told him that I was ok and that there were others who certainly need it more than I do and I wouldn't want to see anyone left out if funds ran out. He still encouraged me to go for it.
