My wife came home after being around her brother-in law
for a couple of hours. This is my idiot freeperish b-i-l. She told me that he had been on an anti-Obama rant the whole time she was there. She really tries to counter this guy and point him towards the truth, but he's completely hopeless.

Here's one of the things he told her:

"Obama is giving $7 trillion to the Internet 2 conspiracy, which will allow only 1200 websites and will track everything you do on the internet."

$7 trillion, eh, dumbass?

I keep telling her to just go to her happy place when this moron begins one of his rants, but it's hard for her. I simply will not interact with him at all, for fear of a fatal hemmorhage of the brain.

The only bright spot is that he keeps talking about moving to Mexico. Now, he can't speak Spanish, hates hispanics, and knows nothing about Mexico at all, but he still thinks he's going to go there, get a great job and live like a king. I have offered to pay for a one-way ticket to anywhere in Mexico, as long as he goes there by himself to "get settled." I figure he'd call someone there a "spic" or a "beaner" on the first day and get killed. So far, he hasn't taken me up on his offer.

2. It's really sad
that a nation such as ours with its educational opportunities has people such as your poor B-I-L roaming around.

5. I had to call it quits with my "brother". I can't do it anymore. I'm just NOT a saint. He'll be ok
without me.

This happened just recently. It's a big deal for me to say this. I almost ALWAYS believe there is a way, but I had to recognize some things are just bigger than I.

8. You're missing a great opportunity...
to make some extra cash and maybe shut the mental midget up for good. Or a while, at least...

OK, here's what you wrote:

Here's one of the things he told her:

"Obama is giving $7 trillion to the Internet 2 conspiracy, which will allow only 1200 websites and will track everything you do on the internet."

Next time he comes up with an idiot statement of "fact" like that, ask him when he thinks it will likely happen.

Then tell him to put his money where his big mouth is.

Bet him that on the day he specifies, if his "prediction" hasn't come to fruition, he will pay you whatever amount you both have agreed on. Put it in writing, just to make sure.

Who knows...you could end up making enough for you and the Mrs to take your own vacation

10. This is the correct answer
Now, whether you want this fool to be parted from his money or not is up to you. But every idiot thing he says, write it down, date it, and ask him to sign it or initial it. Then, every other month or so, remind him of how fucking stupid he is by asking him whether the dire prediction of Feb. 20 has come true yet. He'll be good and sick of this little game by Labor Day, Halloween at the latest.

By all means though, if this lunkhead is dumb enough to give you one of the checks his big mouth is writing, do it.

Trouble with that idea is that he'd just try to borrow the
money from me to pay his bet.

18. In that case...
you could do what the first person in this sub-thread suggested...just have him write down his "predictions" and then call them out whenever the date passes. Maybe keep a sort of running "tab" of how much he WOULD owe you if he weren't such a deadbeat bigmouth know-it-all...

9. If he's talkiing about running away, he knows
that something is terribly wrong in this country and that it will get much worse before it gets better. He's just stupid so he listens to talk radio and believes them when they tell him all the wrong people to hate.

Your poor wife would do well to walk out of the room when he starts ranting, come back a few minutes later and ask if he's done. You'd be surprised how far a little potty training goes.

20. The republicans have gone insane.
Where is all this leading to? How long can they keep making ridiculous crap up and scaring each other with it? Do they not realize that well over half of the country is staring at them, mouths agape, bewildered by the meaningless idiocies they yell and scream about all day?

Nobody has heard of McConnell, Cantor, or Steele. The real leaders and public faces of the republican party are its craziest, most egregiously zealous advocates: Limbaugh, Palin, and Wurzelbacher. And Hannity, Drudge and Coulter. And Keyes, Savage, and Cavuto. Hopeless losers, every one. All they can say is "no" to everything, just like a 2-year-old.

Do the republicans really, truly believe that this is the way back into the majority? Wow. Crazy, man.
