Nearly 75% of ex-Bush officials looking for jobs are unemployed

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/For_exBush_officials_nearly_75_percent_0221.html

While the market for job-seekers in the United States might be sour, for most it isn't as impenetrable as it is for the nearly 3,000 former members of the Bush administration.

Between 70-75 percent who are looking for full-time work still haven't found new jobs, according to a Saturday report by the Wall St. Journal.

"That 'is much, much worse' than when Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton left the White House," Carlos M. Gutierrez, who served as Bush's commerce secretary, told the paper.

For many, the traditional refuge of conservative think tanks in Washington, D.C. has become a Fort Knox, with almost no positions available, and certainly not for lower-rung Bush officials.

4. I would argue that most are probably otherwise unemployable
That was true before they got their jobs in the Bush administration.

5. Hey, my car needs washing.
Of course I won't offer health care, overtime, 401k or any hope for employment security. And if I need them to work off the clock, they better have their ass here to do that as well.

But they should only show up if they plan to do a "heckuva job" and take the fall if I fuck up.

Now snap to it.

8. How are they feeling about their bank pals foreclosing on THEM now?
So, do they now believe in unemployment benefits? How do they feel about health care? Are they beginning to feel the government should help them now?

Hey! They can always join the military.

9. They shouldn't be in the job market. They should all be in prison.
For most of us, crime doesn't pay.
For the big shots, though, it does, big time.

18. Bet they're not too happy about being among the great unwashed.
I'm not going to wish poverty on them, but maybe some of them will grow a bit of compassion now for people who didn't get to ride the coattails of BushCo.

19. Now there's corporate gratitude for you right there
Bush and his minions presided over the largest government giveaway of tax cuts, no-bid contracts, regulation slashing and influence over government departments.

And do they show their gratitude by hiring former "Bushies"? Of course not.

The only "qualifications" these officials possessed were rigid ideology and sycophancy to the most idiotic person to ever hold high office.

Even greedy corporate entities have higher standards and know better than to hire these losers.
