Saddest story I've heard about damage done by B. Madoff!
During in FBI investigation, yet anopther couple has been found to have lost everything. CNN had the guy on today. He retired 20 years ago, and he & his wife were living a comfprtable retirement. He had all of his savings invested with Bernie Madoff's co. and lost everything! He's now back at work, at a supermarket, AT AGE 90!!!!!!

NO PUNISHMENT is strong enough for Madoff! I'm not a vindictive person, but you can't imagine the things I'm wishing on that man right now!

5. Does anyone really think Madoff's going to be dealt with justly?
They're letting him stay in his mansion while this 90 year old man goes back to work! :grr:

retribution, community hours and a limited parole.

2. k&r . Talked with my father recently, has lost over 1/2 retirement funds
wasn't Madoff, but just general stocks. They were his emergency fund funding source, and now we hope for no emergencies.

Back at work at 90 is wrong. Very wrong.

4. I've lost about half of mine
I'm past retirement age, but have my own business and thought I'd keep working as long as I could. Now I guess I'll never be able to retire. I've worked my whole adult life and have very little to show for it. And I'm sure there are many others out there in the same boat.

And I wasn't invested with Madoff, either.

3. How does a 90 year old even get a job with unemployment
as high as it is.

6. He's probably a greeter, and I doubt he's working full time.
Several of the super markets around here have greeters, and the one where my hubby wowrked offered a job doing that to one of their older employees who just couldn't work full time anymore.
