Flashback to 9/24/2006. "How does one go about asking the Secretary of State out on a date?"
Life is very full for this 51 year old overachiever, a woman who graduated from college Phi Beta Kappa at age 19. She’s treated like a rock star and everything from her sense of style to her possible suitors is the subject of endless gossip. Esquire readers voted her the woman they’d most like to take to dinner.

Rice acknowledges her prominent position and hectic schedule makes it difficult to have a social life.

"How does one go about asking the Secretary of State out on a date?" Couric asks, laughing. "Hi, Madame Secretary? Listen."

"Well, I won't even go there on the second question. But I have got great friends and people that I see."

Asked if she'd like to get married one day, Rice says, "Oh. Wouldn't we all love to find somebody that you'd want to live the rest of your life with? Sure. But I never thought you'd want to get married in the abstract."

"You wanna get married to someone. And so I've just never particularly want to get married to someone. But who knows? Maybe one of these days," she adds.

3. Condi, you're already married to Dimson
And what the FUCK is the matter with Esquire readers? I'd accept Paris Hilton as a better answer to that question.

4. Why do people fall all over themselves face to face with a bigshot
What makes rice anymore than anybody else. Now if she had a nice personality, was good looking and had something to offer would be different. If you had your choice, rice secretary of state under bush, or somebody like Halle Berry, gorgeous, witty and a lot of fun. No contest. And at the same token I wouldn't go out of my way to talk to bush. He's so phony.

5. Wedded to her job.Other than that--evasive answers suitable for someone closeted...
Not that I particularly care if that is the case. Possibly she simply has an obsessive need for privacy or actually does live like a cloistered nun when not at work.

Condi is an odd woman indeed. Chat with her over dinner? I think not; she's so driven and nervous she's scary. Plus I hate her boss.

7. I view her more as asexual...
How I'd hate for the gay community to be saddled with NeoCondi...

I remember this barf-fest interview. Couric was acting like she'd just met a supercool girlfriend and gushed over the footage of NeoCondi playing her piano and doin' time on her stairmaster.

Not once did she glare at her from under her eyebrows or purse her lips like she'd just tasted antifreeze. She cooed throughout the interview.

9. It's been reported that
as soon as Shrub and pickles get their divorce, Condi will move right in. Ok, it was in the Globe, but I still think there is something going on with those 2. The little fishing trips in the row boat, the fact that he goes out to his pickup to call her on his cell phone. Watching football on the week-ends together.
The picture where he's giving her a kiss and she has her leg kicked back, like in the movies. The fact that she acts like a giddy teen-ager when she's around him.
