1. Lying on mtp, and Gregory doesn't call him on it. What a surprise.
And if he's that unaware of what the truth is, he shouldn't be in this position.

11. He wants more tax cuts
Edited on Sun Feb-22-09 10:37 AM by Catshrink
The only information prisoners of war are required to give is name, rank, and serial number. The only thing Republican mouthpieces are allowed to say is "the solution is tax cuts" and "Clinton did it."

8. No, Jindal Is Principled
Governor Jindal is considering refusing the stimulus money because he has principles. He thinks the stimulus package is wrong and will not work and he is sticking to his ideals. I give him more credit than the Republicans who voted against the stimulus but are now boasting about the money it is bringing to their districts. They are selfish hypocrites. Any Republican governor who spoke against the stimulus and now refuses the money from it has principles.

Of course, it's easy to have these principles when you don't have to worry about getting enough to eat or keeping a roof over your head. It's easy to worry about the debt we are passing on to future generations when you don't have to worry about feeding your child today. Why don't they consider the debt we are passing on to our children by not properly educating them today? Oh, is it because they can all afford to send their kids to private schools?

14. Perhaps Consistent...
Maybe consistent is a better term.

But, I still think this is true Conservative principles. True conservative principles would not support the idea of the federal government spending money to try to help those in need.

12. So his constituents...
will have to start pay higher taxes on money they never saw. How nice. I don't like Jindal. He is fucking creepy, and he's obviously pandering to the 'pub base because he's planning on running for President in 2012. How transparent.

19. I've been wondering if he is going to quietly make the name change legal
sometime soon. He's evil, but not stupid and he knows his GOP opponents would find a way to let the "Piyush" out of the bag.

16. Jindal is nothing but a "Notorious GOP" mouthpiece.
He spewed all the talking points - the Disney train, funding for the arts, etc. The people of Louisiana ought to hold a recall election and get the guy out of there. I can't believe he'd deny needy people additional unemployment benefits. It's so obvious his actions are a pathetic play to the base for votes when he runs for the White House. Earth to Bobby. Most likely a whole lot of that GOP base is now unemployed.

17. Jindal is living in a different world
Even David Gregory hit him on the bullshit about "the private sector needs to stimulate the economy." That's our problem, the private sector and everything else is cutting back at the moment; that is why we are having the government spend money. Gregory also asked him why deficit spending for the war was OK but is now not good for our own country. Then Jindal decided to lie about the cost of the current stimulus spending vs. Bush's $1.3 trillion zero-jobs-created tax cut and the endless, hidden war expenses.
