Ziegler on Today show this AM:"Palin is NOT a moron!"
Mr Ziegler has put together a movie-"I have FACTS!"- about Palin and how the "mainstream media" conspired to make her look stupid. He stated to Matt Lauer Monday morning that this movie shows the real Sarah, and that her VP run was plagued by the MSM who had different criteria of judging her, and John McCain as well.
He stated to Mr. Lauer that it had been obvious that the "media" loved Barack Obama from the beginning, and gave everyone else - Ms Clinton, all other Dem and GOP primary candidates and candidates McCain and Palin - a different level of coverage and commentary because ALL THE MSM WANTED OBAMA TO WIN FROM THE BEGINNING. It was all a plot of some sort.

Ziegler repeatedly stated that Palin was not an idiot or a moron.

Lauer was appalled and getting a little pissed.

FWIW, I believe Ziegler is even dumber than Palin, and he is trying to prepare for her presidential attempt in '12.

1. Zig is right...Sarah not idiot or moron.....she is stunningly IGNORANT and not at all ASTUTE
Faking her way to the top can work in a few places including the Oval Office...but not after Bush revealed the gig.

2. he seemed
especially unhinged this morning. And he said to Matt "You and Obama got into each other's personal space" or something. WTF? Why is this asshole still on a media tour? MSNBC just said that they will have him on at 12 because his "movie comes out today". He was on MSNBC flogging around a month ago, why again? The amount of publicity that this nutjob is getting proves that there is no liberal media.

5. Well, the RW makes so few movies that they give them a shot to promote it
Let them bring them on as much as they want if this guy is any indication of what they will do with the time. He had the equivalent of a two year old's tantrum on the Today Show today and Matt Lauer will remember this nut job the same way he remembers Tom Cruise ... careful what you feed them or they will explode right there on camera!

It was quite funny to watch this morning. This nut did everything short of holding his breath and falling on the floor!

You're an idiot, too. So, your opinion is irrelevant. Someone tell the supposedly biased media, that a bias would include NOT PUTTING IDIOTS LIKE THIS ON THE AIR!

:silly: No conspiracy needed. All she had too do was open her mouth and it was obvious just how stupid she was and is. Kinda like dubya.

11. She certainly didn't seem to need any help
to appear incompetent every time she was interviewed by anyone - Is that the conspiracy? She was a jerk wherever she went, therefor is must have been the media?

I do believe there is a serious movement to run Palin for President in the next election.

Maybe enough for them to steal the election. And we have been down that path. x(

7. She's not a moron. Hell, even Bush could apparently fly jets....
but she possesses an venal, animal cunning and a incuriosity that, while they have served her well in a small, isolated political market, won't play so well on a national level after GWB exposed the country to the same things for 8 years.

The Couric interview will be her albatross for years and years to come.

8. Its stunning how the conservative base fauns over her
Personally I think Palin is the best thing that could happen to Obama in 2012. Please oh please conservatives, select Palin as your 2012 nominee. I'd love to give the press a solid 18 months of a full presidential campaign to dig up dirt on her instead of the few months they had during the 08 election cycle. Palin started out with positives in the 60s and negatives in the 20s and by election day her positive numbers were under 40 and declining while her negatives were over 30 and rising.

17. The GOP 20012 Dream Ticket: Palin - Jindal
By 2012, both will have worn out their welcome with any intelligent voters so the GOP will likely think they will make the perfect combo. And they will be for the Freeper GOP base of idiots. :silly:

10. Of course she's not a moron, neither was Bush
but they both suffered from the same thing... a black and white, uninformed world view that is the result of being incurious and anti-intellectual. Those traits often manifest themselves in people whose mindset is rooted in religious ideology and political dogma.

It is a joke for Ziegler to contend that the MSM somehow conspired to make her look bad. She did that entirely on her own. In fact, when McCain selected her we went through a week or so with the MSM thinking it was the boldest, smartest political move in decades. They were predisposed to love her. They set it up for her to shine.

Then Palin sat down to face what can only be described as softball questioning and the jig was up... she revealed herself to be ill informed, shallow, simple-minded and unfit. It is a testimony to the ignorance of the right that McCain got as many millions of votes as he did after selecting this obviously inferior candidate to be his number two.

I am confident Obama would have won anyway, but I suspect it would have been a closer contest had McCain selected someone whose ignorance was cloaked in knowledge and experience. After about three weeks, Palin's shortcomings became clear and whatever hope McCain had of capturing the impressionable center of the electorate was gone. She sure solidified their base though. You betcha.

She was brought along to siphon off the PUMA's and most of them left her quickly once they realized it wasn't just any vagina they wanted to vote for after all.

Politico (warning, politico linking. I know) has some more quotes from the "documentary" that weren't released in the initial previews. Christ, what a whiner. The media was on a personal "seek and destroy mission", according to her. .God forbid the campaign that asked "WHO IS BARACK OBAMA?!" after he had been in the public eye for a couple of years dare answer some questions of their own. I remember seeing endless "She's a REFORMER. And a MOOSE HUNTER MOM!" in the media and it really took them way too long to catch on to the bridge to nowhere crap. The media went easy on her. Hell, the Obama campaign virtually ignored her. I'm going to love the stuff that gets thrown at her in a real race. Remember when the McCain campaign was planning to shield her from the media completely because they were not being "deferential"? And they only picked Couric because they thought she would go easy with her, which in all honesty, it was not that tough of an interview. On the Today show this morning, the "documentation" kept screaming "she's not a moron! The media said she was a moron!" and when Matt said "Who called her a moron?", Ziegler got really crazy and started saying " It was the insinuation. Now's the time to come clean, Matt! Come clean!"

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0209/19178.html

Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) believes that the media deliberately tried to bring her down during her vice presidential run.

As part of an interview with conservative filmmaker John Ziegler for his new film out this week, Palin said she believes the media made a decision that “we’re going to seek and we’re going to destroy this candidacy of Sarah Palin’s because of what it is that she represents.”

“Obviously something big took place in the media,” she added. It is “very frightening, I think, what the media was able to get away with, this go around.”

Palin suggested that unbalanced media coverage posed a threat to democracy.

“This is for the sake of our democracy that there is fairness in this other branch of government, if you will, called the media,” she said. “It is foreign to me the way some in the mainstream media are thinking.”

“There have been lies told, there have been reputations trashed, there have been children that have been harmed,” she continued.

Looking back on her interview with ABC News’ Charles Gibson, in which Palin seemed unsure of how to define the Bush doctrine, the Alaska governor said she was disrespected in a way that another candidate would not have been.

“I’d have to say there would be much more respect shown to the subject, yes,” she said.

She proved that conclusively during the debate, and got schooled on national television by Joe Biden for saying so.

18. I didn't see it , however
I do feel the media , specifically the TV talking heads play favorites and do have a profound affect of picking the candidates for the people.

I would have to say with no aimed personal insult intended that anyone who watches any one the TV media talking head shows like MSNBC or CNN and especially Fox are suckered and have had their brains sucked dry.

There is not one TV media show that is not run and owned and controlled by a few massive corporations with full intent of steering people to their way of thinking and judging as if these are really fact based.

I don't care if it's Oldbermann or anyone else they are working for GE and have their function and purpose and are controlled .

THey are the networks who did these insane so called debates sponsored by clean coal and were quick to limit any sort of real campaign issues with crap like diamonds or pearls.

They don't talk about Iraq other than to promote and sell it as they had and when a real issue crops up they touch on it and leap to some story or the octo mom and give that much more time and focus.

Look at who owns most of the media outlets and then think about their intent and purpose. They can paint anyone into what ever color they desire and make believers out of most people who watch this CRAP! They can make or break anyone and they do.

I would much prefer to base what I think on common sense and what I see in the so called real world that is going on right in front of our faces.

JUst because Olbermann looks pro and has his writers and base of followers does not make him the real deal.

There were perhaps three presidential candidates who were not corporate owned and none of them won and were quickly dispatched and left out of the debates with few questioned asked. The two parts one party system has the control and the independant or liberal party had no chance and it all boils down to follow the money.

To even take the time to look up what a VP does. Is there anyone here who would be offered a job such as VP who wouldn't at least study what the job is about and what the Constitution says. She was that lazy that it didn't matter to her. And it seems it didn't matter to Repukes either. People spend years in law school and this was just handed to her and she failed. I bet even by 2012 she won't be prepared.
