Rush-lite Red Texas upset that they are getting $6m to help their schools

This pisses me off so much. Ralph Hall's district. Anyone familiar with Texas schools knows that they have not been fiscally sound for MANY years. Many to the point of failing. So, in a district that is getting $6m in stimulus money to help their schools--they are mad that they are getting it????

The only thing I attribute it to is the republicans have pissed in the stimulus well so thoroughly that the money is being seen as being tainted in some form.
I really don't know what country I am in anymore.
I think that being a rabid republican should qualify as a mental disease deserving long term institutionalization.

I keep thinking this will be his last term in congress. His wife died last year (my mom was one of her honorary pallbearers) and Ralph himself is 9 days older than baseball. But, God, he loves the perks. It will be hard for him to give up the good life.

7. Precisely the point

If this stimulus has to be shoved down the throats of Red America under the direction of rabid republicans...do you think that the programs it goes to will be successful? Or, do you think that everything will be done to sabotage the stimulus?
One thing that disturbed me about this article...
"According to a press release sent by Strategic Partnerships Inc. (a government consulting agency) "some of the money is allocated by a formula and other funds will come down to local school districts in the form of grants."

WHY is a PRIVATE company disbursing the money? And where does THAT rabbithole lead? Things that make you go hmmmm....
