Unfucking believable!

How many subpoenas can you ignore without consequence?

2. When they get a spine and a clue. They think we're all
impressed everytime they send Rove a subpoena and we're all thinking "what a great job they're doing". WRONG - we will only be impressed when they throw his ass in jail.

10. Rove has not even showed up to plead the 5th...
Or to say for the record that he believes he can hide indefinitely behind "executive privilege" - of course, he is a criminal trying to hide in plain sight.

The real travesty that blows me away is Rove does NOT EVEN SHOW UP! It is f'ing CONTEMPT of court and he is giving the finger to our DEM LEADERS (actually everybody).

History will remember if we had the balls to hold Rove et. al. accountable (or at least brought them to trial).

14. If they don't throw the book at Rove for being in contempt of
court, how in the Hell can they ever prosecute ANYONE again for similar crimes. Won't the lawyers just cite the "Rove Case" and that will be the end of it? If he doesn't have to testify, why should anyone else have to testify? They're afraid of Rove - plain and simple.

... a conversation about voting rights and how the GOP systematically infringed on them.

8. When the roof leaks and the powder gets wet.

When they run out of paper to write strongly-worded letters.

When someone loans them a set of balls.

In all seriousness, I'll never forget being filled with pride when John Conyers convened the hearing for the stolen 2004 election. I just *knew* if our reps had a chance to bring those pukes to justice they would do it in a HEARTBEAT.

How stupid was I.

I've given up on Rove getting anything more than sternly worded threats of sternly worded requests.

12. I just happened upon/read this yesterday - very fitting: The "Lord of the Flies"
Edited on Tue Feb-24-09 12:10 AM by Mind_your_head
is the story of a group of young English schoolboys, during World War II. They get marooned on a deserted island when a plane evacuating them from London crash-lands at sea, killing the pilot and copilot.

Survival falls totally upon the boys. Wisely, they agree to some basic LAWS. A few weeks later a crisis develops when some of the boys defy the laws. A boy named Ralph warns that without any law their survival is threatened.

Ralph understood the purpose of law: to promote and enhance life.

ONLY when laws defeat their purpose may or should they be defied.

-----------

Rove does NOT meet the above stated criteria!
