Oh, really?? Think this guy would want to volunteer to go over there..cuz, ya know, it's so hard to get killed nowadays. Dickhead. We don't want the "SAME amount" dead, we want NONE!

U.S. body armor manufacturers are enjoying big sales as the demand has gone up for effective armor for troops in Iraq.

The Times reported that the Army issues body armor to each of its soldiers fighting in the Middle East, and one set costs up to $3,150.

It's a heck of a lot harder to kill an American than it used to be, said John Pike, the director of Global Security, a defense-information database in Alexandria.

There are five times more (improvised explosive device) explosions in Iraq than there were three years ago, but the number of American casualties from IEDs have stayed the same, he said. I think that's impressive.

1. "I think that's impressive".
Tell that to the thousands of families that have been torn asunder by not having that armor available to them, jackass! :grr:

What a stupid. STUPID thing to say! Typical Republican war profiteer.

2. Fatalities may be unchanged...
...but injuries, particularly partially debilitating head injuries are up. One legacy of this war will be a cohort of brain-damaged veterans and the families who will will struggle, suffer and fail when Mom or Dad returns home a different person. This is on top of the PTSD troops.

The damage done to our society from this ill-advised conflict will be with us for far too long.

3. I bet he thinks his bank account
Is quite impressive too! War profiteering happens in many forms. It's a sick sick world in which we live and us Americans are at the top of the sicko list.

4. " . . are enjoying big sales . . "
Share the good news with veterans dumped into the trash bin of the military health care system. :sarcasm:

Share the good news with permanently mutilated veterans. :sarcasm:

Share the good news with veterans who will be haunted with PTSD for the rest of their lives. :sarcasm:
