Question: When is Bill Maher debating Ann Coulter?
I had heard something about him debating her (on his show?), but I was wondering if anyone has any details regarding when this is happening. Thanks.

Ann Coulter and Bill Maher Debate Part of Speaker Series

Kansas City (02/13/2009) UPS columnist Ann Coulter and comedian and social and political commentator Bill Maher will debate in March as a part of MSG Entertainment and Citi Performing Arts Center’s “Speaker Series: The Minds That Move the World.” The debate, titled “Humorous Perspectives, Serious Issues,” will take place in New York City, Boston and Chicago.

The speaker series is “a timely and important series of events that will provide attendees with a unique framework for understanding America’s current political landscape and place in world politics, through the insights of some of the most prominent political figures of our time,” according to the Web site, www.speakerseries2009.com.

The Coulter and Maher debate will start in Radio City Music Hall, NY, on March 9 and travel to the Wang Center in Boston, March 10 and the Chicago Theater, March 11. Tickets range from $38-$180.

16. exactly. you can't trust Mahr for the company he keeps.
No way can someone be friends with such a vile hateful clueless person like that and have any convictions to your own beliefs. He validates what she stands for by giving her a platform for it.

13. These two people are in such different spheres intellectually,
I think it would be painful to watch. Ann Coulter uses inflammatory games to substitute for true insight and well, Bill Maher almost embodies insight, albeit with a sarcastic bent. It's not a fair fight.

15. Wow - cheapest ticket in NYC other than student is $49.50
and in Chicago $35. I sure wouldn't pay that to watch that skank unless Maher could waterboard Anthrax!

He's made many comments on his show about how "unfair" the tax system is against the rich. That's 60% right there.

25. When I said 60% it wasn't based on a statistical study I did.
It was a broad generalization intended to convey that they aren't as opposed as you might think. Maybe they only agree 40% of the time. The thing is, he's not her ideological antithesis.

Edited on Tue Feb-24-09 09:55 PM by Hello_Kitty
Maher is just as much of a misogynist as Coulter is.

Edit: To clarify that: Maher is "pro-choice" but he regards women as primarily walking fuckholes.

32. It's going to be in several cities, and it's expensive.
When I heard it was coming to Boston, I looked it up. I forget what the ticket price is, but it is definitely over $100. I think I'll pass on that.
