I thought it was excellent, just like I suspected it would be. However, I also suspected that people would treat this like a campaign movie for Al Gore, talk about what a bore he is, and say something along the lines of "He can't just get over the fact that he lost."
My friends, I think I speak for us all when I say just how sick I am of people treating Al Gore like some kind of whore. You want to know why he's always talking about global warming and the environment? Because it's important! It's a worldwide problem! And worst of all, nobody wants to listen! But the fact that he mentioned the 2000 election for all of about 1 minute, we should completely ignore that this man has spent some 30 years trying to educate people about these dangers, only to have it fall on deaf ears.
I was fortunate enough to come across a few people who appreciated his efforts. A girl from English mentioned that she liked what Al Gore was doing, another guy said he would have voted for him in 2000, and a friend in Geometry said he thought it was very good and that people need to be informed about this issue. That made me feel a little better.
While all these people are busy treating him like crap, I'm becoming more convinced that he should be the next President. I have always liked him, but when I consider the fact that he knew the War in Iraq was a bad idea when many others didn't, and that he has put more effort than anyone into an issue that EVERYONE should be talking about, it seems clear to me that he has the brains AND THE JUDGEMENT that we desperately need.
So thank you, Mr. Gore, for all that you have done and continue to do. There are still plenty of us who appreciate your work.
