They are "Talk TV". The appropriate way to refer to them is "Talk TV" as in "Right wing Talk TV" or "Lefty Talk TV" etc etc.

People definitely think Hannity and company are a bunch of wingnuts. We should first undercut the power of these corporatist mouthpieces by first removing the power of their own self descriptions.

THEY AREN'T NEWS more than 5% of their programming. Just like Talk radio may have a brief news segment at the top of an hour, but they are still just talk radio.

I want to bring these suckers down. Part of it is to further stigmatize the idea of constantly tuning in to their crap.

13. Yesterday's 'TV News' just about

made me puke. Chris Mathews had on that one right wing fuck. You know, the one that tries to emulate William Buckley. He injected all sorts of offhand objections to Obama's foreign policy. And this guy is just one example. On every channel, those that had criticism of Obama's speech were given top priority. Just as those that had criticism of Obama's stimulus plan were given five times as much air time.

I have a suggestion. Instead of donating money to various left wing causes how about we pool our money to start a left wing equivalent to Faux News. You know, so we would at least have a fighting chance.

They are horrific. Can't say a damn good thing about anything. Bush was killing our economy, making rediculous move after rediculous move, and they could still say something good. Hard to bash the guy who made it so you don't have to pay taxes. They make their money off of doing nothing (investements making their money).

I continue to believe that the most effective thing that we as individuals can do is for EVERYONE OF US take a few minutes each day to call local stations that carry the liars like hannity and rush, beck, etc.. and tell them you will be boycotting their advertisers. Then call and write the advertisers and tell them why you can no longer buy their product/service. I set a goal for myself of a minimum of three calls per day (mon-fri) to sponsors and daily email. It will make a difference as more people do it. Geiko has written back to me to say that they have disassociated themselves with limpy over 'inappropriate remarks'. Scottrade has done likewise. We need to keep the pressure on the lie talkers. money is the language they speak, not decency or fairness.
