...for the 15 "Coalition" members that Iran is holding? Wouldn't that make sense? No harm no foul. I realize that this all depends on whether Bush and his minions were planning on hanging the Iranians right before the next election or something like they hang everyone else. A prisoner exchange kind of ruins that whole plan.

1. I thought they tried to do that allready and Iran said no....
I could be wrong, but I swear I heard that buried in the news between the Anna Nicole and Pat Tillman.

3. We've tried, I believe.
This "crisis" is on the Iranians, not the Brits/US. Believe it or not, both sides enjoy rattling their sabres.

4. What, no response to those who've pointed
out that this has been tried? I realize that you're eager to view this in black/white, casting the Iranians as the good guys and the Brits?US as the bad guys, but that's as simplistic as those on the other side.

5. What was the name of the Coalition official who made the offer to Iran?
I am kind of interested where this offer originated from. Thanks.

6. Sorry, the story I read, out of a British paper
didn't give names, and essentially it simply recapped an Iranian statement. Why don't you do a Google search? I'd like to add that there really isn't a Coalition, and that in any case, this isn't between the Coalition and Iran; it's between GB and Iran.

Here's a question for you: Why don't the Iranians simply provide proof that the brits were in Iranian waters, broadcast it to the world and release the brits with a "stern warning" to England? They are the ones that can de-escalate this matter.
