Anyone listening to Thom's interview with the 13 year old?
Regardless of his politics, this little kid is remarkably capable of debating Thom.

Holy crap!

4. is this that CPAC'ers convention?
I give Thom credit to try to reason with these jerks, they are too far out there for me. They need rehab.

5. Here is his web site:
http://www.defineconservatism.com

The video on his home page (click on his photo) is remarkable.

Watch his mannerisms. This is not so much rehearsed as I believe they are somehow core/indoctrinated beliefs of his.

But how many 13 year old kids do YOU know that can enunciate views on politics in this manner. He handled himself extremely well when confronted with as strong a debater as Thom. I'm amazed, and hope he eventually turns to our site. We could use him!

12. All I'm hearing is mini-rush screaming WHAT! WHAT! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!
He is NOT articulate. He's a good little Mina Bird. He couldn't even fathom the possibility of Christian Extremists being a problem and didn't want to hear any facts about them. This shows he has NO critical thinking or analytical skills. Get him off his talking points and he whines lie a 3 year old. He was amusing though!

7. my 11 yr old reads the newspaper in social studies, my 13 yr old and 11 yr old
reads times magazine every week. they watch history and discovery and have an avid interest in history. they have lots of books on different times in our history. they both are informed on both election 2004 and 2008 but being older really got into the politics of 2008. they too can debate.

my point is, though this kid does not hold democratic views, it is sounding like he is imformed and capable of thinking thru, whether we agree or not.

my children could and do have these conversations with the republican adults in this community and all that people are saying about this child, the republican adult can say about mine

the bottom line is.... all these kids are informed, educated and feel a desire to particpate in their society and look to their future.

for nothing else,

tha is not a bad thing.

8. I agree completely
Whether we share his views is less important than the fact that he, and apparently your children, are taking an interest in our shared future and at an early are are forming views and opinions on such important and complex topics. Congratulations to them.

I just hope this little creature exposes himself to both sides of the debate, and eventually turns to our side.

9. I didn' t think so
He merely spouted talking points and hatred toward Muslims, and when Thom calmly contradicted him, he got shrill. I don't think that arrogant, little twit is used to being contradicted. He obviously thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
