They also do not want to see wages rising for the lower and middle classes (less for them to siphon off).

They particularly want to disabuse anyone of the notion that universal healthcare is a good thing (since that might be financed on raising their taxes.)

Some members of the media have become extremely wealthy themselves. Others are dependent upon shilling for the needs of their masters or risk losing their jobs.

Given the above, it's no wonder Obama has decided to bypass the media entirely and take it right to the people. It must also be frustrating for the media mockingbirds have their inane prattle pretty much ignored or laughed at. In the celebrated words of Judge Judy "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining."

The jig FINALLY appears to be up. Especially for the financial nitwits.

1. Finally the Media Talking Heads enter the Class War themselves
The richest 1% aren't the least bit worried. They spend more then $250k a year on senators and lobbyists and accountants and lawyers to keep their ill-gotten gains.

It's that next layer down, the water-carriers for the uberwealthy that are going to start squawking.

4. Hannity and Limbaugh makes millions upon millions of dollars
I just CANNOT understand why their mostly illiterate and uninformed audience thinks that they have the interests of the American people at heart. They don't. Why is Sean Hannity so incredibly invested in telling people over and over and over that Americans have the best healthcare in the world when clearly we don't?

Remember Charlie Gipson practically bawling at the idea of capital gains going up in the Presidential debate?

The "Water Carriers" is an excellent name for them.

2. Rich conservatives don't want anyone getting any help from the gubermint
except for themselves. But they don't seem to mind a Republicon Great Depression every now and then.

3. Of course, their goal is that they will be the elite, and the rest of us, desperate and hungry

5. What is sad it that it is just 48% of the top 2% which isn't very many people!
the aftermath of the 2008 presidential election, exit polls showed that 52 percent of voters who make $250,000 a year or more voted for Barack Obama.

In a recent article for Slate and Newsweek, Daniel Gross pointed out that in doing so, those affluent voters went against their economic self-interest, since Mr. Obama is likely to raise their taxes.

This is unusual. As Paul Krugman argued in a blog post last year — contrary to popular belief — the wealthy do not always vote against their economic interests. In fact, far from it.

Yet there is a strange paradox. In response to Mr. Krugman’s post, a reader pointed out that when you look at the data on the state level, wealthy states do tend to vote for the Democratic Party, which has the reputation of raising taxes on the wealthy.
