Coulter on the comics page?

In regard to "Coulter: Wrong and offensive" (letter, Feb. 23), I admit I hadn’t read the column in question. However, if it’s like any of her other material, the letter writer gave Ann Coulter the very reaction she wanted.

Coulter’s job, if one could call it a job, is to sit in her office and dream of the most asinine, bigoted statements she can think of and then put the tripe to print. She carefully chooses her targets based on the amount of outrage her attacks will generate, thereby guaranteeing her air time on networks other than Fox News.

Her attack on single mothers is to be expected and is right in line with her past unwarranted attacks on Muslims, Jews and Sept. 11 widows. I like to think of her as Fred Phelps in a dress.

A bit of advice: If someone is offended so easily by Coulter, don’t read her columns. I, for one, love reading both her and Rush Limbaugh’s material for the comedic effect, as I find it amazing that any rational-thinking person would actually take either of them seriously. Although both the letter writer and I heartily disagree with Coulter, I would never want Stripes to remove her column. A simple move to the comics section would do just fine.

Keep Coulter, please

Please, please, please don’t take away my Ann Coulter! Her weekly hate-filled rants make her colleague across the page look positively rational. Fair and balanced, anyone?
