1. During the campaign, Obama promised more transparency in government
(whatever that means). One component of this trasnparency, he said, is
that pending bills will be posted for five days for public inspection before
he signs them into law. When a reporter asked the silly Robert Gibbs why
this transparency provision didn't apply to the Pelosi/Reid/Obama Pork Bill,
Gibbs said that the pork bill is emergency legislation and thus exempt. The
day after congress passed this pork-laden atrocity, Obama and brood went on
vaction for three days, and he didn't sign the bill until he returned to
Washington. Some emergency.

2. During his speech before congress, Obama said the country that invented
the automobile is not going to walk away from it. Karl Benz, a German,
invented the car. Appearing on one of the news programs, Joe Biden was
trying to provide the URL for some government web site or the other and
asked an aide to get him "the number" for the web site. These are some
really smart people.

3. There are now 14 registered lobbyists in Obama's lobbyist-free cabinet.

4. There are 9,000 earmarks in the Pork Bill.

5. One of the great tragedies of Obama taking the oath is that I can no
longer hear Barney Frank say, "Pwesident Ewect Bawak Obama." But no
worries. I can now hear him say "Wepubwican obstwucionists in congwess."
This little creep is a Harvard trained lawyer; certainly he has made enough
money to afford speech therapy.

6. Eric Holder, the first black attorney general, who serves Barak Obama,
the first black president, said that Americans are cowards when it comes to
race.

7. Holder visits Guantanamo Bay and delcares himself impressed by what he
sees.

8. Justice Department lawyers say that GB meets Geneva Convention standards
and is not the latter-day Auschwitz we have been lead to believe.

9. During the speech mentioned above, Obama says that medical expenses
cause an American families to go bankrupt at a rate of one every 30 seconds.
Do the math on this one.

Face it, this asscolwn is a hyper-partisan asshole.

10. Actually, he did say that

It probably would have been better to say we were the country that popularized the automobile. In any event, it's kind of a silly "fact" to be throwing back at Obama. Okay, the United States didn't invent the automobile. But the point of his comment was that his government is not going to abandon the automobile industry.

Compare and contrast with any of thousands of misstatements, stretchers, likely stories and outright lies peddled during eight years of the Bush administration, lies that cost people their lives, squandered billions of treasury dollars, and did severe damage to American standing all over the world. The "invented the automobile" thing doesn't seem quite so bad now, does it?

As usual with Freeper types, it's about balance and perspective. And they're pretty compromised on both.
