Any insight on the 2010 elections
Anyone have any insight or polls or data that shows if the Dems will oust even more Repukes in 2010? I know it's early, but I'm hoping that even more of those pieces of shit lose their jobs...and at some point the selfish pricks left will realize they are dying alone.

1. Some Republicans will win. Some Democrats will win.

2. Yes
I hope that it's more Dems winning incumbant repuke seats. Some repukes will always win in their districts. But hopefully they don't TAKE seats from DEMS, but DEMS take seats from them.

3. Let me get out on that limb
Actually I think the (Ds) will get back Dollar Bill Jefferson's seat in the NOLA district and the vitter reelection race should be a hoot and closer then the (Rs) would like. He may get a primary challenge from religious zealot and ally of the Ku Klux Klan tony perkins. So the gop will have the choice of a diaper wearing whore customer and a wack job constitution hating bible thumper. Throw in the porn star waiting in the wings. Ya can't make this stuff up.

4. Offhand, I'd say the Dems could pick up a couple Senate seats.

The GOP's best chance is probably Colorado, where Democrat Michael Bennet, who was appointed to replace newly minted Sec. of the Interior Ken Salazar, is a largely unknown commodity.

But the Dems have several good openings. Jim Bunning in Kentucky is not exactly popular. Also, GOP senators are retiring in Florida, Ohio, Kansas and New Hampshire. New Hampshire seems like a pretty easy Dem. pickup, and the other three are all within reach, as long as the chips fall properly.

Edited to add: There's also the Vitter race to consider, especially if Tony Perkins upsets him in the primary (oh please, oh please, oh please). Also, Thune hasn't seemed to quite catch on since overthrowing Dashle in South Dakota.
